Juvenile court transfers Miami-Dade sexual battery case to adult court

Juvenile court transferred the case of Cesar Julian Gonzalez Alvarado to adult court and he appeared in court on Tuesday for his arraignment, records show. (MDCR)

MIAMI – A man who turned 19 years old in October stands accused of sexual battery on a minor in Miami-Dade County, records show.

Cesar Julian Gonzalez Alvarado was at the Metrowest Detention Center on Tuesday in Doral, according to county inmate records. A judge granted an order for pre-trial detention on Saturday and denied him bond.

Correctional officers booked him at about 2:15 p.m., on Friday after his Miami-Dade Police Department case was transferred out of juvenile court, records show.

Gonzalez Alvarado’s defense filed his written plea of not guilty and his demand for a jury trial on Monday, according to county court records.

His arraignment was on Tuesday morning. Detectives asked anyone with information about this or other cases to call Miami-Dade County Crime Stoppers at 305-471-8477.
