All clear given after 2 Broward schools evacuated due to bomb threat

DAVIE, Fla. – Two schools in Davie were evacuated Monday due to a bomb threat, school officials confirmed.

According to Davie police, the incident was reported at Nova High School, which is located at 3600 College Ave.

Police said both Nova High School and Nova Middle School were evacuated as a precaution as the schools are adjacent to each other.

Police checked the campuses to make sure it was safe for students and staff to return and the all clear was given shortly before 2 p.m., authorities confirmed.

“All students and staff are safe, and the school is following proper protocols,” a spokeswoman for Broward County Public Schools told Local 10 News in an email.

Despite the all clear being given, police confirmed that the investigation remains ongoing.

No arrests have been made at this time.
