MIAMI – A 35-year-old man vanished after he allegedly fell off a boat at sea on Saturday in a case the Miami-Dade Police Department was investigating on Sunday, according to the U.S. Coast Guard.
A report that a man fell off a 45-foot SeaRay at about 2:30 p.m., near Lummus Park, prompted a massive search, according to U.S. Coast Guard Petty Officer 2nd Class Diana Sherbs.

“With no new information, the Coast Guard suspended their search as of 8:15 p.m.,” Sherbs said.
The Coast Guard assisted local authorities by establishing a safety zone and searching the shoreline, but there were “no signs of the man,” Sherbs wrote in a statement on Sunday.
The Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission and Miami and Miami-Dade fire rescue personnel also responded to the search for a drowning victim on Saturday.
Authorities surrounded a boat that was docked in the Miami River in the Brickell-downtown Miami area.
The victim has since been identified as Abraham Mgowano, of Berkeley, California.
FWC officials said he was onboard the boat with 12 other passengers when he fell overboard.
FWC officers, Miami-Dade police and City of Miami Fire Rescue continue to dive and search the area, FWC officials said.
