Man hit, killed by train at Fort Lauderdale Tri-Rail station

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – Fort Lauderdale police are investigating after a man was hit and killed by a train at a Tri-Rail station Friday morning.

Police said it happened just after 10 a.m. at the commuter rail station at 200 SW 21st Terrace, near Broward Boulevard and Interstate 95.

Authorities haven’t said if they’ve determined why the man was on the tracks.

Detective Ali Adamson, a Fort Lauderdale Police Department spokesperson, said its homicide detectives and crime scene unit are “working to gather additional information and details.”
