Woman hospitalized after shooting near Miami gas station, police say

MIAMI – Miami police are investigating a shooting that left a woman injured Friday evening, authorities confirmed Saturday.

Kiara Delva, a spokeswoman for the Miami Police Department, said officers responded to a shooting call just before 6:30 p.m. at a Marathon gas station near Northwest First Avenue and 79th Street, near the city’s Little River area.

Authorities said the woman was transported to the Jackson Memorial Emergency Room in stable condition.

The circumstances that led up to this shooting remain under investigation at this time.

No arrests have been made and a motive remains unclear.

Detectives are asking anyone with information about the shooting to call Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers at 305-471-8477.
