They announced a number of measures, from traffic checkpoints, license plate readers and DUI checks that will be in place during Springs Break.

Police said there will be extra officers in the entertainment district as well.

The measures received backlash from some residents who believe a few bad apples are running a good time for others.

The city will also be using barricades to enforce parking, and fines will be doubled during Spring Break season.
