NORTH MIAMI BEACH, Fla. – Residents of a North Miami Beach apartment complex were left reeling in disgust after a Postmates delivery driver, tasked with dropping off food, left more than a meal behind outside one of the units.
Surveillance video shows the driver entering the apartment and leaving the food at the door. However, what happened next has left residents appalled.
In a brazen act, the driver proceeded to the kitchen where, to the horror of onlookers, appeared to relieve himself.
North Miami Beach police were alerted to the scene on Thursday morning and said they were treating the matter as a criminal mischief case.
The presence of bodily fluids in a food preparation area poses significant sanitary risks, further escalating concerns among residents and management.
“He went ahead and went to the lobby and defecated on the floor,” said property manager Julio Bajdaun. “It was unreal.”
Witnesses recounted the moment they opened their doors to the kitchen, only to be met with a scene of utter disgust. The thought of someone cooking up something in that manner in such close proximity has sent shockwaves throughout the community.
“We have four open bathrooms. People can use it and they’re open. Why do it on the floor?” asked Clara Kinis, a North Miami Beach resident.
As the investigation unfolds, residents remain on edge and hope the driver left a trail that will ultimately lead to his arrest.
