MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. – A 36-year-old woman was arrested Tuesday after she illegally entered a man’s efficiency through the unlocked front door and then threatened him with a gun as he was sleeping, Miami-Dade police said.
According to the suspect’s arrest report, Katiria Orengo and the victim are known to each other.

Police said Orengo put the gun to the victim’s head Monday as he was sleeping and screamed, “Get up Anthony!”
According to the report, the victim woke up and asked Orengo what she was doing in his house.
Police said Orengo demanded $5,000 from the victim, but he told her he didn’t have any money on him.
The victim then pulled out his phone and began recording Orengo, authorities said.
Police said Orengo immediately placed the gun in her backpack and tried to take the victim’s phone, but was unsuccessful.
According to the report, Orengo then grabbed the victim’s car keys off a table and threatened to destroy his vehicle.
She then fled the scene with the victim’s keys, authorities said.
Police said Orengo was found a day later and was taken into custody.
She was found in possession of the same backpack and a black handgun, the report stated.
According to the report, a detective attempted to read Orengo her Miranda Rights but she responded by screaming and saying that she needs protection and wants her attorney present.
Orengo was arrested on a charge of home invasion robbery with a firearm. A motive for the alleged crime was not mentioned in the arrest report.
