Reward of up to $5,000 offered for information that leads to arrest in fatal hit-and-run

MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. – Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers is offering a reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest in a hit-and-run case that occurred last week.

According to Miami-Dade police, the victim, Anthony Darryl Manning, was struck by a BMW on Feb. 6 in the area of Northwest 54th Street and 22nd Avenue.

Police said the BMW was heading north on 22nd Avenue when it struck the scooter.

Two people inside the car – the driver and passenger – ran away in an unknown direction after the crash, leaving the BMW behind.

Manning was pronounced dead at the scene.

It’s unclear whether the BMW was stolen or if police are searching for the person it is registered to.
