Miami-Dade Public Schools earn top marks for student achievement

MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. – Six Miami-Dade Public Schools are topping a list for exceptional student achievements in several categories across the state of Florida.

Out of 35 East Coast Technical Assistance Center award schools, schools in Westchester, Hialeah and the Goulds area were recognized for exceptional progress in English Language Arts (ELA) and Math Achievement/Proficiency (Florida Standards Assessments data), ELA and Math Learning Gains (compared to 2019 FSA data), among other categories.

  • Southwest Miami Senior High School
  • Goulds Elementary School
  • Hialeah Gardens Senior High School
  • John F. Kennedy Middle School
  • Olympia Heights Elementary School
  • Earlington Heights Elementary School
  • Miami Senior High School

ECTAC identifies and recognizes high-poverty schools demonstrating exceptional progress in enhancing student achievement for all students.

The schools will be formally recognized for their achievements during a conference in Orlando in June.
