Man injured after being shot inside convenience store in northwest Miami-Dade

MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. ā€“ Police are investigating after authorities said a man was shot inside a convenience store in northwest Miami-Dade on Tuesday.

It happened just before noon at Mamy Quick Stop located at 5100 Northwest 23rd Avenue, near the countyā€™s Gladeview area.

Miami-Dade Fire Rescue confirmed a man was transported to Jackson Memorial Hospitalā€™s Ryder Trauma Center in critical condition.

ā€œThere were two men arguing and I heard the sound of arguing and multiple gunshots,ā€ said one woman who asked not to be identified. ā€œHe (the victim) was conscious because he was talking. He wasnā€™t bleeding out, but he was bleeding inside.ā€

The woman recorded first responders transporting the injured man to the hospital.

ā€œWhen it stopped, I looked and seen someone ride off then saw the man on the ground,ā€ she said. ā€œHe lifted his shirt and he was shot.ā€

Police have not released any information on the manā€™s age or condition.

Sky 10 flew over the scene where crime scene investigators were interviewing people in the area.

A motive for the shooting remains unclear at this time.

Anyone with information is urged to call Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers at 305-471-8477.
