Man offers impatient Pollo Tropical customer place in line, gets knuckle sandwich instead

Victim cries foul after trying to be nice turns into brutal beating

PINECREST, Fla. – Pinecrest police are searching for a man caught on camera pummeling another patron at a Pollo Tropical — right after the victim had offered to do him a favor.

Police are now looking for that cantankerous customer.

It happened at around 8:30 p.m. on Feb. 1 at the chain’s location at 8975 S. Dixie Highway.

In the video, a man in a light blue shirt can be seen punching another customer.

According to police, the aggressor became upset while waiting in line because it was taking too long for employees to take his order.

The victim offered the suspect to cut him in line, but the suspect instead began pacing and hurling insults toward the victim, police said.

After the victim asked the man to stop, he began to punch the victim repeatedly.

By the time police arrived, they said the suspect had fled north on South Dixie Highway in a blue vehicle.

The victim suffered some cuts to his face following the attack but was not taken to the hospital, authorities said.

Police are asking for the public’s help to locate the suspect.

Anyone who thinks they recognize him or has information on the incident is urged to call Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers at 305-471-TIPS.
