DAVIE, Fla. – Authorities are investigating after a car erupted in flames on the southbound lanes of Interstate 75 in Davie Saturday morning.
Local 10 viewer Rudy Neal captured the moments the sparks burst inside the vehicle that was parked on the side of the road of the highway near the Sheridan Street exit.
Firefighters extinguished the blaze in just a few minutes once they arrived at the scene.
Sources told Local 10 news there were no reported injuries, and the cause of the fire is under current investigation.
Traffic slowed to a crawl as firefighters got a handle on the fire and authorities asked drivers to be aware of delays in the area.
