MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. – Nicolas D. Vega is apparently no fan of law enforcement.
The 26-year-old west Miami-Dade man has a chest tattoo proclaiming “F--- the police,” officers noted in an arrest report after cuffing him on nearly a dozen felony charges Sunday.

Miami-Dade police said he stole an SUV at a Miami McDonald’s and also took nearly a dozen bank and identification cards.
The report states that at around 4:30 Sunday afternoon, officers had been alerted to a “suspicious vehicle” parked at Vega’s home in the 8300 block of Southwest 10th Street in the Westchester area.
Police said they saw Vega driving around the block in a in a silver Chevrolet Trailblazer and entering and exiting it several times.
They said a check of the license plate revealed it had been stolen earlier in the day from the McDonald’s about a mile away, at 7281 SW Eighth St. in Miami’s Flagami neighborhood.
Police said Vega, after parking in his driveway, tried to get in another SUV, a Chevrolet Tahoe, with two others inside. According to the arrest report, they moved in and detained all three.
The witnesses, police said, told officers that they were friends of Vega and said “that they happened to be driving by and saw him outside, so they stopped to say hi.”
“Both witnesses stated that they saw Mr. Vega driving the Chevrolet Trail Blazer, but did not know who the vehicle belonged to,” an officer wrote in the arrest report.
Police said they found Vega’s wallet in a cross-body bag; in it were 10 bank and identification cards belonging to two victims: the person who reported the vehicle stolen and the vehicle owner.
The report states that as Vega was being driven away to jail on one count of grand theft auto and 10 counts of possession of stolen identification cards, he yelled out the window to a detective: “My skateboard and bags are in the car!”
Vega, who was given a bond of more than $30,000 on those charges, plus counts of possession of crack cocaine and drug paraphernalia, remained held in the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center as of Monday afternoon.
