FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – Fort Lauderdale police asked drivers to temporarily avoid a major intersection Saturday as train track arms malfunctioned in the area.
Authorities said the train track crossing station malfunctioned at Sunrise Boulevard between Northeast Fourth Avenue and U.S. 1.

The Florida East Coast Railway was notified and has since made the repairs, according to police.
Authorities said the roadways have been cleared of construction and there were no major incidents reported.
