Dustin Lee Laun, who owned tech businesses including the mobohubb software, died in a motorcycle crash. His mother wanted a gravesite, but he was cremated against her will.

Linda Algozzini has been fighting in Palm Beach County since Laun, 45, died on Nov. 17, 2021. In lawsuits, she blames Laun’s romantic partner for the cremation and for cutting the viewing ceremony short.

Algozzini also blames a Boynton Beach funeral home for not checking if the romantic partner had a marriage license, which she didn’t, according to The Palm Beach Post.

Florida doesn’t recognize common-law partners.

Algozzini’s lawsuits in civil court were possible after a county judge appointed her as the sole representative for Laun’s estate in September, court records show.
