POMPANO BEACH, Fla. – A woman was pronounced dead at the scene Tuesday night after her car was struck by a Brightline train in Pompano Beach, authorities confirmed.
According to the Broward Sheriff’s Office, the crash was reported at 9:35 p.m. near Atlantic Boulevard and Dixie Highway.

BSO deputies and Pompano Beach Fire Rescue crews responded to the area.
The woman driving the white car was pronounced dead at the scene.
No other injuries were reported.
BSO’s Traffic Homicide Unit detectives are investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash.
It’s unclear why the car was on the train tracks at the time of the collision.
