Police ID victim shot to death in Lauderhill

Broward Crime Stoppers offering up to a $5,000 reward for info that leads to an arrest

LAUDERHILL, Fla. – Police identified a victim Tuesday who they said was shot and killed in Lauderhill last weekend.

Officers responded to the 5400 block of Northwest 15th Court just after 2 a.m. Sunday.

Upon arrival, police said they found a man, who they identified as Alwyn Thomas, lying in the street after suffering from a gunshot wound.

Lauderhill Fire Rescue rushed Thomas to Broward Health Medical Center in Fort Lauderdale, where he was pronounced dead.

Police have not released any information regarding a suspect or person of interest.

A $5,000 reward is being offered for information leading to his arrest.
