MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. – A cellphone-savvy teenager turned the tables on a suspected voyeur who was accused of secretly recording her while she was in the shower, according to authorities.
Miami-Dade police said the victim was showering when she noticed Juan Carlos Sequeira-Urbino, 41, of Miami, lying on the ground and looking underneath the bathroom door of a home located near the 12000 block of Southwest 151st Street, just before 5 p.m. on Jan.15.

The victim told detectives that there were two previous incidents where she heard a commotion by the bathroom door as she was showering, according to an arrest report.
Authorities said during the second incident, she witnessed Sequeira-Urbino’s cellphone lying on the floor as she was showering.
Investigators said during a third incident, the victim used her own cellphone to record Sequeira-Urbino who was watching her from underneath the door.
After the victim showered, police said she waited in her room for her mother at which time Sequeira-Urbino asked her not to tell her mother or his wife about the incident, the report stated.
Miami-Dade police said after transporting Sequeira-Urbino to their Kendall district police station for questioning, he invoked his right to counsel and refused to speak with detectives.
Jail records show he is facing one count of video voyeurism on a child 16 years of age or older and a separate voyeurism charge.
As of Friday, Sequeira-Urbino is being at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center where his bond has not been set as of Friday afternoon.
