DEERFIELD BEACH, Fla. – Authorities are investigating after a driver struck and killed a pedestrian in Deerfield Beach overnight Saturday.
It happened just after midnight in the area of North Federal Highway and Northeast Eller Street.

Broward Sheriff’s Office deputies and Broward Sheriff Fire Rescue responded to the crash scene where they found a man dead at the scene, according to investigators.
The driver of the vehicle believed to have been involved in the crash remained at the scene, according to BSO Spokesperson Carey Codd.
Deputies have not yet released the victim’s age or identity.
No other details were immediately released.
