WATCH: Broward beer bandits form ‘mini flash mob’ to raid store of suds

Deputies seek culprits

LAUDERDALE LAKES, Fla. – An investigation continues to brew in Broward County over a “mini flash mob” that targeted a Lauderdale Lakes convenience store.

The Broward Sheriff’s Office released video Friday of a Jan. 11 overnight beer raid at the RaceTrac at 3020 NW 33rd Ave. as they seek to identify the suspected bandits.

Video from the store, taken around 3:30 a.m., shows the trio arrive in a green, older-model Ford Ranger, park towards the rear of the building, enter the store and help themselves to cases of beer with no intention of paying.

Full BSO video release:

Two store employees tried in vain to block the thieves and, after they tried several doors, one of the suspects pushes a worker out of the way and the men all flee with the loot.

Anyone with information is asked to call BSO Detective Armando Enrique at 954-321-4233 or Broward Crime Stoppers at 954-493-8477.
