Victim IDed in fiery Biscayne Park crash that killed 2, left 1 critical

BISCAYNE PARK, Fla. ā€“ Local 10 News has learned the identity of one of two men killed in a fiery crash in the small residential suburb of Biscayne Park Monday afternoon.

Trevante Allen, 22, was ejected from the vehicle after its driver crashed into a tree along Northeast 119th Street. The Kia electric vehicle then spun into a house and caught fire.

Allen was ejected from the car and taken to HCA Florida Aventura Hospital, where he died soon after.

Police said one victim was trapped inside the burning vehicle and died at the scene. A third victim remained in critical condition at Jackson Memorial Hospitalā€™s Ryder Trauma Center Wednesday.

Authorities havenā€™t identified the other victims.

Miami-Dade police traffic homicide detectives are investigating the crash on behalf of the Biscayne Park Police Department.

Police said this all began as a traffic incident in North Miami, spilling into neighboring Biscayne Park; witnesses told officers there may have been another car involved.

Surveillance video obtained by Local 10 News minutes before residents called 911 shows a similar car with another closely following behind, with the sound of tires screeching heard seconds later.

Police said they have located the second car as the investigation continues. Thereā€™s no word if the men were being followed or if there had been some sort of prior wreck.

Authorities said speed is being looked into as a factor in the crash.
