For the past two years, Leftwich and his Little Brother Abraham have shared a love of sports, attending pro ball games together and hitting the basketball court regularly for one-on-one match ups.

“Two years into our match relationship I feel that ours is a perfect match.  I’ve learned what it’s like to be a young boy in the world today.  This match has kept me young, has stimulated my mind as I listen to his hopes, dreams, likes and dislikes.  It has been refreshing to hear Abraham’s point of the world as he knows it,” Leftwich said.

Judy Frum, COO of Memorial Healthcare System has been named Broward’s Big Sister of the Year.

Frum was matched with Little Sister ‘Miracle’ four years ago and Miracle now aspires to work in healthcare like her mentor.

“Miracle is a beautiful soul. Although her life isn’t perfect, she finds the ability to keep moving forward. I have watched her grow into a young woman who has a voice,” Frum said.

Also being honored are High School Big Brother of the Year 17-year-old Sebastian Fidelity, a Nova High student, and 17-year-old Nelli Sacca, an American Heritage School student who was named High School Big Sister of the Year.

Corporate Partner of the year is JM Family Enterprises, Inc, a dedicated supporter which launched the organizations School to Work program 6 years ago.
