Humane Society of Broward County looking to find ‘furever’ homes for Cameron, Zack, Cody

BROWARD COUNTY, Fla. – The Humane Society of Broward County joined Local 10 News Saturday in continuing its search to find loving, permanent homes for pets.

HSBC Vice President of Marketing Cherie Wachter introduced Cameron to Local 10 viewers.

Wachter said Cameron is 4 months old and 23 pounds, so she expects him to be a larger-sized dog when fully grown.

She said Cameron, who could be mixed with Golden Retriever and Anatolian Shepherd, was given up because her family did not want the responsibility of taking care of a pet anymore.

Cameron has a soft, cotton-ball-like coat and has a roommate who is also looking to be adopted.

He is learning how to walk on a leash and is great with kids.

Wachter also introduced Zack and Cody to Local 10 News viewers.

Wachter doesn’t believe both cats are related but get along great and can be adopted on a BOGO deal.

Wachter also said they have a lot of bigger breeds and older pets looking for their ‘furever’ home.

She also shared information on the HSBC’s microchip and vaccine clinic.

The clinic stays very busy during the week and pet owners can stop by the HSBC starting Saturday without an appointment to get their pets updated on proper vaccines or microchips.

Wachter also spoke about the HSBC’s annual “Walk for the Animals” event where donations will go toward the well-being of animals looking for a home and any surgeries they may need.

Wachter said if you raise $150 you get the official Walk for the Animals T-shirt and will be eligible for more prizes depending on how much money is raised.

The HSBC also said they are accepting toy donations for the animals to play with at the shelter.

There are many more dogs, cats, rabbits and furry friends up for adoption at the Humane Society of Broward County.
