MIAMI – A 15-year-old girl trying to use the bathroom at a DD’s Discounts store in Miami was nearly sexually battered by a stranger, according to police.
Authorities arrested Rosemond Saint Louis, a 28-year-old homeless man, following the incident Sunday.

According to police, the attack happened at around 7:50 p.m. at the chain’s location at 559 NE 81st St., in the city’s Upper Eastside area.
Police said as the girl opened a restroom stall, Saint Louis approached her, attempted to “push himself into her stall and keep her from exiting” while exposing himself.
An arrest report states that Saint Louis gestured for the girl to be silent during the attack by placing his finger in front of his mouth and saying “shush.”
Police said the girl was able to push Saint Louis out of the stall and lock herself in, then, after noticing the suspect was gone, ran out and alert her mother.
An officer located Saint Louis in the area a short time later and arrested him after a foot chase.
Saint Louis, who was charged with attempted sexual battery, false imprisonment and resisting an officer without violence, was being held in the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center on a $53,000 bond as of Monday evening.
