Man pleads for help on Ring cam after he and girlfriend were allegedly shot in northwest Miami-Dade

MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. – A man was caught on camera pleading for help on a homeowner’s Ring camera after he and his girlfriend were allegedly shot in northwest Miami-Dade early Saturday morning.

“Help! Call the ambulance! They shot me and my girl,” the man was heard saying on exclusive doorbell camera video obtained by Local 10 News.

“Ok, get away from my door,” said a woman who lived at the home.

Miami-Dade police responded to reports of a shooting that left two people hospitalized in northwest Miami-Dade early Saturday morning, sources told Local 10 News.

A Local 10 News crew was at the scene around 5 a.m. where officers were focusing their attention on a two-story apartment building near Northwest 26th Avenue and 67th Street in the county’s Gladeview neighborhood.

Police sources said that upon their arrival, police found 25-year-old Isaac Patrick Hepburn and 30-year-old Johneisha Kelveisha Mabry both suffering from gunshot wounds.

Hepburn told police he got into a previous argument with two men at the apartment which led to one of those men pulling a fun out and shooting the man and his girlfriend, according to sources.

Police sources said both victims were transported to Jackson Memorial Hospital’s Ryder Trauma Center by Miami-Dade Fire Rescue.

Detectives were seen using flashlights to search an outside stairwell area, along with an upstairs floor breezeway.

The building where the shooting happened sits mostly abandoned. Most of the windows were boarded up and one of the few windows remaining were left shattered.

A man identifying himself as a relative of the woman who was shot told Local 10 News they woke up to a letter saying she had been shot and was being attended to at JMH. The relative did say she is expected to recover.

It is unclear if any arrests have been made at this time.
