CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. – Authorities said a Coral Springs man tried to meet up with two 16-year-old boys in a Dunkin’ parking lot for oral sex using the apps Jack’d and Snapchat.

But he was instead greeted by the FBI, because what he didn’t know, they said, is that he was talking to an undercover officer the whole time — as part of a federal sting.

According to a federal indictment obtained by Local 10 News on Friday, Tobias Lee Lunger, 51, first reached out to the undercover investigator on the dating and chat app Jack’d, which primarily caters to gay and bisexual men, on Dec. 2.

He claimed to be 41 and to have just moved from Florida from Pennsylvania six months prior, the court documents state.

Authorities said the undercover officer told Lunger he was turning 16 soon but did not have a way to meet up with Lunger, but did have a friend who could drive him to the Dunkin’ at 12432 W. Atlantic Blvd., just east of the Sawgrass Expressway.

After having moved the conversation to Snapchat, the indictment states that Lunger told the decoy that (referring to both 16-year-olds), “I’m Sure u Both will LUV” having him perform oral sex on them.

“Hopefully the 3 of us can meet many many times,” authorities said he messaged the officer.

The indictment states that Lunger gave the investigator his phone number in case his “Snap get block (sic) due to things I talk about,” encouraging him to save his number as “Daddy T” in his phone.

Lunger and the undercover officer discussed possible meetup dates, the indictment states. Lunger told the decoy that after they met in the restaurant parking lot, he would have them go to a nearby park for the sexual encounter, authorities said.

Eventually, Lunger and the officer agreed to meet Wednesday, the indictment states, and when he pulled into the restaurant parking lot, FBI agents moved in to arrest him.

The indictment states that Lunger “admitted he chatted with two individuals who he believed to be 16 years of age and came to meet them. He claimed that he wanted to check their IDs but did not intend on having sex with them.”

Lunger now faces a federal charge of enticing a minor to engage in criminal sexual activity. According to the Cornell Law School, the statute carries with it a fine and 10 years to life in prison if convicted.

He remained behind bars in the Broward County Main Jail on a U.S. Marshals hold as of Friday.
