Driver stays at scene after pedestrian fatally struck in Lauderdale Lakes

LAUDERDALE LAKES, Fla. – Police are investigating after a pedestrian was struck and killed by a vehicle in Lauderdale Lakes.

It happened Wednesday at approximately 7:14 p.m. near Oakland Park Boulevard and State Road 7.

Local 10 News’ cameras observed a tarp covering a body on the road.

Broward Sheriff’s Office deputies said the driver of a tow truck involved in the crash stayed at the scene.

The pedestrian has not been identified.
