Police said Lambert called the woman Tuesday to collect the rent money, but she told him she didn’t have it yet.
According to his arrest report, Lambert told the woman that she needed to get out of his house, located in the 2600 block of Northeast 211th Terrace, and she told him he would need to call the police.
Police said Lambert showed up at the home moments later, pulled out a gun from his sweater’s front pocket and fired multiple rounds at the rear bumper of the victim’s vehicle. She was not inside the car during the shooting, police said.
According to the report, Lambert fled the area before officers arrived, but he was later found hiding behind a vehicle.
Police said the gun was found on him and he admitted to shooting at the victim’s car.
Lambert, who police said is a convicted felon out of California, was arrested and transported to the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center, where he was being held in lieu of a $7,000 bond Wednesday.
He faces charges of armed criminal mischief, discharging a firearm in public and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
