When the doors opened to the fifth floor, one of the men opened fire on the other and both exchanged gunshots, wounding each other. Both were taken to an area hospital and died from their injuries.

Authorities described Ahwee as the “victim” and Marcellus as a “subject.”

Police said Friday that they hadn’t determined a motive for the shooting, but said there was no threat to the community.
