MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. – Multiple units with Miami-Dade Fire Rescue responded to a First-Alarm house fire in southwest Miami-Dade early Saturday morning.
MDFR said it happened around 5:45 a.m. at a duplex near Southwest 62nd Avenue and Southwest 64th Street.
Upon arrival, fire crews said they found heavy smoke and fire coming out from the one-story duplex that was converted into multiple efficiencies.
Firefighters quickly deployed hose lines and conducted a fire attack to extinguish the fire while monitoring for hot spots, according to MDFR.
Authorities said there were no reported injuries as the structure was evacuated when the fire broke out.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
