MIAMI – With New Year’s Eve on Sunday, aviation authorities expect Saturday to be one of the busiest traveling days of December in South Florida.
The process was going smoothly on Friday at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport and Miami International Airport.
Miami and Fort Lauderdale officials were preparing for free fireworks displays at midnight on Sunday. Miami was planning to also drop the Big Orange and Fort Lauderdale was set to drop the anchor.
Key West was preparing for a street party with the drop of the red shoe at midnight.
