HOLLYWOOD, Fla. – In anticipation of The Anchor drop and fireworks at midnight in downtown Fort Lauderdale, there is a New Year’s Eve party in the area of Southwest Second Street and Fifth Street.
The city hosts a family-friendly festival with bounce houses and face painting from 4:30 to 8:30 p.m., next to the Esplanade Park, at 400 SW 2 St.

There will be a fireworks display at midnight and live music with the Extasy band from 5:30 p.m. to 9 p.m., and with The Brass Evolution from 9:30 pm to 1 a.m.
There are several overnight parties for adults at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino’s nightclubs, lounges, bars, and restaurants.
