‘Devastated and heartbroken’: Family asks for help after murder of 22-year-old pregnant mother of 4 in Broward

Shambre Boyd’s murder remains unsolved

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – Shambre Boyd was just beginning to make her mark as an adult, already a mom and four months pregnant when she was killed Monday night in Broward County.

Detectives said the crime happened in Fort Lauderdale on Northwest 3rd Court near 14th Avenue.

“I just can’t see her no more and it got me so devastated and heartbroken and I don’t know what I’ll do without my sister,” said Tatiana Boyd, the victim’s sister.

Authorities said Boyd was sitting outside in a car around 11:20 p.m. when someone opened fire. Those bullets cut short the 22-year-old’s life.

“Y’all left her four kids without a mom, y’all left my sister without a daughter and I’m here left without a niece,” said Tangunika Boyd, the victim’s aunt.

Boyd had a bubbly personality and by all accounts, enjoyed being a mother.

Police continue investigating and ask anyone with information to call Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers at 305-471-TIPS.

Boyd’s family has created a GoFundMe to help with expenses following her death, and it can be found by clicking here.
