Police: Officers rescue woman from fiery car after crashing into Hollywood house

Police officers close Taft Street during crash investigation in Hollywood Hills area

HOLLYWOOD, Fla. – A woman crashed a car into a house early Wednesday morning in Broward County’s Hollywood Hills area, police said.

The crash was shortly before 4:40 a.m., near the intersection of Taft Street and South Longfellow Circle, near Hollywood Hills Elementary School.

Deanna Bettineschi, a spokeswoman for the Hollywood Police Department, reported the car caught on fire with the woman still inside, and police officers rescued her.

Detectives were investigating the cause of the crash. They were asking anyone with information about the case to call Broward County Crime Stoppers at 954-493-8477.
