In 30 minutes or less, drones are delivering packages from two Walmart Supercenters in Lewisville and Frisno in Texas.
Customers need the Wing app to order and indicate where the package will land. The package landing works even with something as fragile as eggs.
The drone can lower down to about 25 feet. A worker loads the specially designed box onto the drone’s cable extension.
Once the drone is in the sky, it can fly up to 65 mph with a package that weighs under 3 lbs.
The service is free — for now.
