MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. – Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill could miss another game against the Dallas Cowboys as he continues to nurse an ankle injury.
Dolphins Head Coach Mike McDaniel said during a press conference that Hill did not practice on Wednesday, leaving his status uncertain for Sunday’s Christmas Eve showdown.

McDaniel said the team wants to make sure Hill can’t further injure his ankle before putting him back on the field.
“We won’t have Tyreek practice today and that’s not any indication of left or right, it’s more of us trying to make sure that we have all cylinders go,” he said.
Hill was previously listed as questionable with an ankle injury and did not practice at all last week after he landed awkwardly on his left ankle while being tackled against the Tennessee Titans last Monday night.
Hill told reporters after the game that he was in a lot of pain and couldn’t move and change directions like he normally would.
The All-Pro receiver leads the NFL with 1,542 yards and 12 touchdowns and entered Week 15 on pace for the first 2,000-yard receiving season in league history.
If Hill sits out Sunday, it will be his second regular-season game missed since being traded to Miami last March.
Miami’s offense proved to have success against the Jets without Hill after quarterback Tua Tagovailoa finished the day by going 21-of-24 for 224 yards and a 60-yard TD strike to wide receiver Jaylen Waddle in a 30-0 win.
Still, the Dolphins would like to have their star playmaker in Sunday’s game but will continue to monitor how Hill responds this week to his lingering injury.
McDaniel also downplayed Dallas’ struggles against the run last week after Buffalo had over 200 yards on the ground in a 31-10 rout of the Cowboys.
“Dan Quinn inspires others to be their best selves. It wasn’t like they (Dallas) were giving up big open spaces and easy yards. It was more of Buffalo executing,” he said.
Without Hill, the Dolphins could look to keep the ball on the ground with running backs Raheem Mostert, who leads the entire NFL with 20 total touchdowns, and Devon Achane who leads the league in yards per carry with 8.5.
