MIAMI – Drivers will face changes on Wednesday as construction continues on Interstate 395, a short west-east connector in Miami.
I-395 connects drivers in the Interstate 95 southbound and northbound lanes and the Dolphin Expressway westbound and eastbound lanes to the MacArthur Causeway, also known as State Road A1A.
Drivers traveling southbound on I-95 and turning eastbound to I-395 will have a new ramp starting on Wednesday, according to the Florida Department of Transportation and the Greater Miami Expressway Agency.
Oscar Gonzalez, a spokesman for the ongoing I-395/SR 836/I-95 Project, said drivers who are traveling westbound from the MacArthur Causeway, which connects Miami Beach and downtown Miami, will also have to keep an eye out for new signage.
The signs will guide drivers heading to I-95 northbound to new bridges on the outside right lane and drivers heading to I-95 southbound to the inside left lane, according to Gonzalez.
Drivers traveling westbound to SR-826 should remain in the center lane. For more information about the changes or to sign up for e-mail alerts, visit this page.
