Man pronounced dead at hospital after shooting, deputies say

LAUDERDALE LAKES, Fla. – Broward Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a shooting on Monday in Lauderdale Lakes.

The shooting was in the area of Northwest 30 Terrace and 41 Street, just west of the Boyd H. Anderson High School and near Lauderdale Lakes Middle School.

Fire rescue personnel also responded shortly before 12:40 p.m., and found a man who was bleeding after suffering gunshot wounds, according to BSO.

The man was pronounced dead at the hospital, according to Carey Codd, a spokesperson for BSO.

Crime scene tape surrounded both a line of parking spaces, a pickup truck, and the entrance to a small apartment. There were yellow evidence markers on the floor.

Detectives were asking anyone with information about the case to call Broward County Crime Stoppers at 954-493-8477.
