MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. — A Miami-Dade County inmate was arrested Wednesday after police said he masturbated in front of a female corrections officer.
According to a police report, the incident occurred around 3:45 p.m. at the Metrowest Detention Center, where Geather Jerry Bennett, 21, is now being held on a charge of lewd and lascivious exhibition at a correctional facility.
Bennett was masturbating inside of his cell on the bottom bunk of a bed and looking at the officer while she was conducting a security check, the report stated.
Police said the officer immediately ordered Bennett to stop and he complied.
Bennett was escorted by other correctional officers following the incident and then transported to the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center where his bond was set at $5,000.
According to jail records, Bennett was previously arrested sometime this year after being charged with indecent exposure from a separate incident.
