MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. – Some Dolphins fans were feeling reminiscent on X this week after Miami’s 28–27 stunning loss to the Tennessee Titans on Monday night.

One fan posted a video of a Dolphins wide receiver Jaylen Waddle touchdown from last season, captioning the video “Back when [coach Mike] McDaniel use to feature everyone.”

Another fan, coincidentally with the username @TyreekMVP, reposted the video and added the caption “Trying to get [wide receiver] Tyreek [Hill] to break 2000 yards has absolutely crushed this offenses playcalls.”

Hill responded to the fan on X by publicly disagreeing with the theory.

The theory is in reference to Hill being positioned to potentially break the NFL record for the most receiving yards in a single season.

After 13 games, Hill has posted 1,542 yards, which puts him atop every NFL receiver by nearly 300 yards or more. The regular-season record is currently held by Calvin “Megatron” Johnson with 1,964 yards during the 2012 season.

Hill has also popped up as one of the NFL MVP contenders with +1300 odds, according to SI Sportsbook. He would become the first receiver in NFL history to win the award if he does so after the 2023 season.

Hill also called out Dolphins fans for their lack of support following the Monday night loss.

Miami (9-4) will look to rebound when they host the New York Jets (5-8) from Hard Rock Stadium at 1 p.m. Sunday.
