South Floridians crying foul after holiday Grinch stole their inflatable decorations

MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. – Someone playing the part of a holiday Grinch is causing a nightmare before Christmas in South Florida.

Several residents are calling for help after their inflatable decorations were snatched.

Surveillance video shows the Grinch park his car outside a Miami Gardens home and walk past several inflatables before stopping at a specific one, unplugging it and taking it to his car.

The victim saw the video and thought the person in the video must be crazy, to go out of his way to steal of all things a Grinch inflatable.

After the theft, the homeowner, Mario, told Local 10 News Andrew Perez that he took his other inflatable decorations down and stored them for safekeeping.

His home is located near Parkway Middle School in Miami Gardens, where several residents have posted online that they too have fallen victim.

Several miles away in Hialeah, off Northwest 185th Street, Hanny Avila lost her big Santa Claus that was secured down in the ground.

Avila said the crooks who stole her Santa also tried to take her others too, so she went to her neighbors to let them know.

She said it was her first year putting up holiday decorations and was very proud of her décor.
