Detectives arrest suspect in ‘Do me a favor’ burglary in Miami-Dade

A burglar said, “Do me a favor,” and pointed at a cash register before stealing it in Miami-Dade County’s Princeton neighborhood, according to police.

A witness reported Michael Wright stole from the Family Dollar store twice near the corner of Southwest 112 Avenue and Coconut Palm Avenue, according to a police report.

Wright, 38, of Goulds, remained at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center on Monday night, according to county inmate records.

Police officers arrested Wright on Saturday for the burglaries in November and October, according to the Miami-Dade police arrest report.

Wright faced charges of burglary of an occupied structure and grand theft for the Oct. 15 case and burglary with assault and strong-armed robbery for the Nov. 17 case.

Miami-Dad court records show Wright also has a pending petit theft case in Miami-Dade County.
