Police search for missing teen from Lauderdale Lakes who suffers from mental illness

LAUDERDALE LAKES, Fla. – Authorities in Broward County are asking for the public’s help in finding a missing 15-year-old girl.

According to police, Ariana Hightower was last seen around 1:30 p.m. on Saturday near the 3500 block of Northwest 29th Street in Lauderdale Lakes.

Deputies said she was riding a purple bicycle with a silver basket on the front.

Hightower is described as 5-foot-5, weighing around 125 pounds with burgundy hair and brown eyes.

According to Hightower’s family, she suffers from mental illness and requires medication, deputies said.
