Police: 1 injured in Lauderhill stabbing

LAUDERHILL, Fla. – Lauderhill police are investigating a stabbing incident that left a man injured early Wednesday morning.

According to police, the stabbing occurred around 2:40 a.m. in the 5300 block of Northwest 24th Street.

Police said officers responded to the area after receiving reports about a physical altercation which led to one person being stabbed.

Officers arrived at the scene to find a man suffering from a single stab wound to the flank area, authorities said.

Police said the victim was transported to Broward Health Medical Center, where he is being treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

“The alleged suspect involved was no longer on scene upon police arrival,” the police department said in a news release.

No other details were immediately released.
