HALLANDALE BEACH, Fla. – A Hallandale Beach man faces five felony charges after authorities said he received nude photos and videos from an underage girl, then threatened to share the content unless she performed specific acts, including twerking naked.
The Hallandale Beach Police Department announced the charges against Joshua Isaiah Siffrain on Wednesday, following his Oct. 17 arrest.

According to an arrest report, Siffrain, 19, known to her by his online alias of “Roman,” first encountered the Ocala girl on social networking site IMVU in October 2022, then moved their conversation to Snapchat.
The report doesn’t specify her age, though it says Siffrain lied about his age and claimed to be 21. It states he knew the girl was under 18.
She reported the case to Ocala police on Christmas Eve, prompting a 10-month long police investigation, leading them to South Florida and Siffrain, who police said used a nude photo of the girl as his IMVU profile picture.
The report, which details chat records from November and December, states that the girl told police that at one point, Siffrain threatened to have his “other girlfriends” post her nude photographs and videos to social media if she didn’t comply with his requests.
Those included multiple requests for her to twerk naked on camera, the report states.
“Either do it or get exposed,” police say he told the girl at one point.
Beginning at around midnight on Dec. 22, police said Siffrain ordered the girl to “put on a show” for him by masturbating on camera or she would have to “do something with (her) little sister.”
For the next five hours, Siffrain “continued to give the victim instructions on what to do sexually on video for him,” the report states.
Detectives said during the lengthy video session, Siffrain wore the girl down to the point where she started crying, telling him that she was “cold, hungry and wanted to put (her) clothes back on.”
The report states he told the girl to leave her camera on and “get some rest,” but with no clothes or cover on. After the girl woke up, the relentless demands for sexual acts continued, police said, including more requests to see the girl’s little sister.
Eventually, after the victim threatened to harm herself, Siffrain told her that he would pay his “other girlfriends” $20 each not to “expose” her and that “she needed to calm down,” the report states, and that he would eventually delete the files.
Police said he told her she was “beautiful” and that he “loved” her and didn’t want anything to happen to her, saying he hated to see her upset, apologizing in the process.
On Dec. 23, after Siffrain claimed to have had his “girlfriends” delete the videos, police said the girl told him she wouldn’t have sex with him because he had “inhumanely groomed” her. He denied anything untoward ever happened, then told her he was “sure” she “dreamt” it all.
The report states he then changed the subject and continued asking the girl to have sex with him.
On Christmas Eve, police said Siffrain asked to see the girl showering, at which point she threatened to block him.
According to the report, he replied, “Shordy I made sure not to delete one of your videos in case you said that” and she agreed to the request on the condition that he delete the video.
Police said during the investigation, on Feb. 21, Siffrain texted the girl, “I’m sparing you today I want you to text me back.”
Following his Oct. 17 arrest, authorities charged him with lewd and lascivious conduct, extortion, possession of child sexual abuse material, directing or promoting a sexual performance by a child and using a computer to solicit a child.
As of Wednesday, he remained held in the North Broward Bureau jail on a $200,000 bond.
