PINECREST, Fla. – It’s the end of the road for the landmark restaurant Wagons West in Pinecrest.
A Local 10 viewer sent in pictures posted on the window of the restaurant with a note, saying “Sorry folks, 43 wonderful years of great food, friends and our handsome Wally. Love, Wally, Brenda, Suzie and Bert.”

An eviction notice was also posted on the window with a date of Oct. 19, 2023.
In July 2022, Wally Muench put the legendary diner on South Dixie Highway up for sale. He told Local 10 News he was still there seven days a week, greeting guests and serving them the food he know he’d want to eat himself.
“It’s such a strong family tradition. It’s like ‘Cheers.’ Everybody knows your name,” said Muench.
Wagons West served American classics, but locals knew it as the go-to spot for breakfast.
