Man in custody following domestic-related shooting in Fort Lauderdale

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – A man was taken into custody Tuesday morning following a shooting in Fort Lauderdale, authorities confirmed.

The shooting was reported just before 6:20 a.m. at the Regal Trace apartment complex in the 500 block of Northwest Fourth Avenue.

According to Detective Ali Adamson, a spokeswoman for the Fort Lauderdale Police Department, officers arrived at the scene and made contact with everyone involved, and discovered that shots had been fired during a domestic dispute.

She said no one was injured by the bullets, however Fort Lauderdale Fire Rescue personnel treated two people at the scene for minor injuries.

No other details were immediately released.
