Police said the argument escalated when Arabi walked into the kitchen area of the RV camper and retrieved a silver chef’s knife from the kitchen drawer.

Shortly after retrieving the knife, Arabi entered the bedroom area of the camper and began to attack his sister while her daughter was lying in bed next to her, according to the report.

Authorities said the victim sustained a stab wound to the back of her head, a laceration to her left shoulder and minor puncture wounds to her left arm and wrist.

The victim’s daughter also received a puncture wound to her right thigh, the report stated.

Miami-Dade Fire Rescue personnel responded and transported the victim to Jackson South Medical Hospital, where she received two staples on the back of her head.

Police said Arabi was located at Quail Roost Drive and Southwest 114th Ave and was taken into custody.

Investigators said Arabi had a previous stay-away order that he violated after visiting the victim’s residence.

According to jail records, Arabi is facing charges of aggravated battery with great bodily harm, child abuse without great bodily harm and violating a domestic violence injunction.

As of Thursday, he was being held without bond at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center.
