DAVIE, Fla. – Western High School’s lockdown was lifted Friday morning after Davie police received a report of a possible weapon on campus.
According to Broward Schools, the campus has been investigated and the weapon was determined unfounded.

Authorities said the school was placed on lockdown just before 8:30 a.m. due to a “student issue.”
Police said there was no active threat at the school and are in contact with the student of concern.
The school was on a secure status but has returned to normal operations, according to police.
No other information has been provided at this time.
